July 20, 2013 –
The Allyn Community Association’s 30th Annual Allyn Days/2nd Annual Geoduck Festival is set to be the western Washington’s most exciting event of the summer. The activities can’t be missed once you get to the quaint village of Allyn, conveniently located just 30 minutes from Olympia and 40 minutes from Tacoma, on Hwy 3 connecting the towns of Shelton and Belfair.
On tap for Saturday, 11am to 8pm, July 21: Our famous alder-smoked salmon, perfectly prepared over our unique barbecue pit by our veteran volunteers. This year, “The Illusion of Elvis” will be performing, along with the Lester Crow Band, Swing Fever and other top musical and dance talent from the area. Dozens of educational, activity and vendor booths, an art show and fun activities for the kids make this an event for everyone. For those who won’t be eating salmon, Costco hot dogs and polish sausages are also served, along with other treats. Food will be served until 6pm. Visitor can have an opportunity to ring the bell in our beautiful Allyn Historic Church. There will be raffle prizes and more. This is our 30th annual, so you know it’s going to be great!
